Kulturfrämjandet is a non-profit association that was founded in 1999 when a group of people saw there was an opportunity to attend to and develop the music industry at a local, regional and national level.
The association comprises three different parts today:
Pinkerton is an independent stage for different types of cultural events all through the year. Today, the Pinkerton stage is one of the best music clubs in Sweden with around 80 – 150 concerts and events annually. Prominent names such as The Hives, Soundtrack of our Lives, Sahara Hotnights, Moneybrother, Eldkvarn, Wannadies, Garmarna and a large number of local bands and performers have played here. Kulturfrämjandet is a non-profit association that arranges concerts, festivities, events, etc. Most of them take place on our own stage, Pinkerton, where all the work is done voluntarily. We’re also looking for other people and associations that have a burning desire for music or culture and who wish to influence what’s happening and make an active impact on their existence. Get in touch if you want to work here or visit us.
We are helping to develop businesses in the local and regional experience industry with a focus on the music industry. We also assist in creating the conditions that are needed for growth and formation of clusters by scouring the region for ideas and moving forces and then supplement them with knowledge, ability and contacts. Kulturfrämjandet is presently running the “Hometown” project intended to productify, package and sell the local and regional music industry.
